About the Mindswell Golf Therapy Program

Our six-week golf therapy programs support teens, adults, and professionals to reconnect through mindful movement, connection, and evidence-based therapy. Whether facing stress, overwhelm, or seeking personal growth, Mindswell Golf Therapy provides a safe, inclusive space to feel grounded and empowered. Each program is tailored to the group, offering opportunities for insight, skill-building, and emotional wellbeing.

Based on the Gold Coast, our sessions are held on scenic courses and ranges. These calm spaces invite reflection, movement, and connection. With coaching and equipment provided by golf professionals, no experience is needed, only a willingness to be present.

Over six weeks, you’ll take part in weekly two hour sessions that blend golf lessons, mindful movement, group discussions, and evidence-based practices. Each session focuses on a theme such as stress regulation, identity, values, relationships, embodiment, or confidence.

Programs are offered in seasonal blocks throughout the year. Our current schedule works in line with school terms and includes dates between:
T1: January – March
T2: April – June
T3: July – September
T4: October – December
All sessions are held weekly and run for 2 hours, with small group sizes to ensure depth, connection, and safety.

Programs are open to the public and available by application. We prioritise creating the right fit within each group to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

What Happens During a Mindswell Golf Therapy Session?
Each golf therapy session offers a safe, supportive space for all levels of golf and all stages of life. We combine gentle movement, mindfulness, beginner golf skills, and group therapy in an open air setting to encourage regulation, insight, and wellbeing.
Arrival
You’ll be welcomed at the golf course or driving range by your Mindswell facilitator and introduced to the group. We outline the session and help you feel comfortable. No golf experience is needed, just come as you are.
Group Circle
Each session begins with grounding and a check-in, followed by a weekly theme explored through storytelling, reflection, and optional sharing. Sessions draw on evidence based approaches such as ACT, somatic practices, and narrative therapy.
Golf Practice
Next comes the golf component, which may include the putting green, driving range, or short game practice with guidance from professional coaches. As you play, your facilitator weaves in somatic awareness and mindfulness to support presence, regulation, and insight.

We end each session with a brief debrief and grounding practice, offering space to reflect, take away insights, and reconnect with your intentions before returning to daily life.

Our golf therapy programs are small-group, paid offerings run by qualified therapists and golf coaches. Places are limited to ensure a safe, connected and meaningful experience. The first four sessions focus on skill-building and confidence at the driving range or in guided lessons, before moving onto the course for the final two sessions. Blending evidence-based therapy with movement, nature, and connection, this program helps you develop focus, resilience, and clarity, both on and off the green.
