Led by qualified psychotherapists and experienced facilitators, these immersive programs, workshops, and retreats combine mindfulness, group work, and time outdoors to create safe and supportive spaces for personal growth and transformation.
Alongside these group experiences, we also offer 1:1 therapy for individuals.
6-Week Programs
Our 6-week programs are for anyone who needs support, but doesn’t like the idea of sitting in a therapy room. Think small-group sessions that mix movement, nature, and good conversations, backed by real therapeutic tools to help you build resilience, ease stress, and feel more like you again.

Surf Therapy
An energising introduction to healing through group surf therapy (8-14 participants). It’s ideal for building emotional strength, reducing stress, and reconnecting with self – no surf experience needed.
Walk & Talk Therapy
Personalised 1:1 therapy in nature, designed to support emotional regulation, clarity, and personal growth through mindful movement and reflective conversation.
Golf Therapy
A premium small-group experience (3 participants), blending mindset work, nature, and focused reflection – perfect for those seeking purpose and personal growth, on and off the course.
1:1 Online Therapy Sessions
Personalised support from the comfort of your own space. Our online sessions provide a safe, flexible, and consistent way to access therapy, making them ideal for ongoing work or clients outside our local area. All new clients begin with an in-person intake to ensure a strong, connected start.
Workshops
Our hands-on workshops are designed to educate, inspire, and empower. With a focus on emotional well-being, nervous system regulation, and real-life tools, each session blends insight with action for a truly engaging learning experience.
Retreats

Additionally, if you’d like us to bring Surf ‘n’ Soul to your workplace, school, or another environment, we offer custom packages tailored to your needs.

Mindswell Surf Therapy is based on the Gold Coast, but we offer our programs along the east and south coasts of Australia.
While our primary locations are in Australia, we are excited to eventually host retreats overseas. For now, all our retreats and programs are Australia-based.
We’re always open to suggestions for alternative locations and will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Yes, absolutely! We offer traditional counselling and psychotherapy services that don’t involve surfing. These sessions provide a safe space to explore mental health concerns, work through challenges, and develop coping strategies—all without needing to step foot in the water.

If you book a Surf Therapy program or a Surf ‘n’ Soul session, you’ll need to be willing to surf as part of the experience. However, if you choose to book a counselling and psychotherapy appointment, surfing is not required.
Our counselling and psychotherapy services focus on traditional therapeutic approaches and do not involve surfing.

Yes, you will need to be able to swim to participate in our Surf Therapy programs or Surf ‘n’ Soul sessions. Since these programs take place in the ocean, basic swimming skills are essential for your safety and comfort. If you’re unsure about your swimming ability, please reach out to us before booking, and we can help you determine if the program is suitable for you. Safety is our top priority, and our team will provide support throughout the experience.

For your Surf Therapy session, we recommend bringing a wetsuit, especially if you tend to get cold or if we’ll be surfing in cooler waters. Otherwise, just bring yourself, sunscreen, swimwear, a towel, and a water bottle! We provide all the necessary equipment, including surfboards and rashies.
If you have your own gear, feel free to bring it along.
